Privacy
Families researching a disability diagnosis are entitled to do it without being tracked. This site is built so that reading it leaves as little trace as possible.

The short version
There is nothing to sign up for and no login. We never ask for your name, your child's name, or a diagnosis.
No ad networks, no retargeting pixels, no affiliate tracking, no sponsored content.
No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps.
We have no data to sell, and would not sell it if we did.
What is stored, and where
- Your settings, in your own browser
- Your chosen language, your selected state, the text-size setting and the light/dark preference are saved in your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- Server logs
- Our host records standard web server information — the page requested, the time, a truncated IP address, browser type — to keep the site running and defend against attacks. These are retained for a short period and are not linked to any individual. [Confirm your host's retention period and state it here.]
- Fonts
- Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request and your IP address when a page loads. [To remove this entirely, self-host the font files — recommended before launch.]
- Analytics
- [If you add analytics, use a cookieless, privacy-preserving tool such as Plausible or your host's built-in statistics, and describe it here. If you add anything that sets cookies, you will need a consent banner.]
Links off this site
Some links open searches or external organisations, including government agencies. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.
The state pages link to web searches rather than storing your location. We do not know which state you selected — that choice stays in your browser.
Children
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and there is no mechanism on the site for anyone of any age to submit personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state statutes give you rights over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data beyond short-lived server logs, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete — but if you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will look.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, we will update the date at the top and describe the change here rather than quietly replacing the text.

La versión corta
No hay nada que registrar ni ningún inicio de sesión. Nunca pedimos su nombre, el nombre de su hijo ni un diagnóstico.
Sin redes de anuncios, sin píxeles de seguimiento, sin enlaces de afiliación, sin contenido patrocinado.
Sin Google Analytics, sin píxel de Facebook, sin grabación de sesiones, sin mapas de calor.
No tenemos datos que vender, y no los venderíamos aunque los tuviéramos.
Qué se guarda y dónde
- Sus ajustes, en su propio navegador
- El idioma elegido, el estado seleccionado, el tamaño del texto y la preferencia de tema claro u oscuro se guardan en el almacenamiento local de su navegador. Esos datos nunca salen de su dispositivo y nosotros no podemos leerlos. Si borra los datos del navegador, desaparecen.
- Registros del servidor
- Nuestro proveedor de alojamiento registra información web estándar —la página solicitada, la hora, una dirección IP truncada, el tipo de navegador— para mantener el sitio en marcha y defenderlo de ataques. Se conservan poco tiempo y no se vinculan a ninguna persona.
- Tipografías
- Las tipografías se cargan desde Google Fonts, lo que significa que Google recibe la petición y su dirección IP al abrir una página.
- Analítica
- Si añadimos analítica, será una herramienta sin cookies y respetuosa con la privacidad, y se describirá aquí.
Enlaces fuera de este sitio
Algunos enlaces abren búsquedas u organizaciones externas, incluidas agencias públicas. Una vez que sigue un enlace, se aplica la política de privacidad de ese sitio, no la nuestra. No controlamos lo que recogen.
Las páginas de estados enlazan a búsquedas web en lugar de almacenar su ubicación. No sabemos qué estado eligió: esa elección se queda en su navegador.
Menores
Este sitio está escrito para personas adultas. No recogemos conscientemente información de menores, y no existe en el sitio ningún mecanismo para que nadie, de cualquier edad, envíe datos personales.
Sus derechos
Según dónde viva, leyes como el RGPD, la Ley de Privacidad del Consumidor de California y normas estatales similares le dan derechos sobre los datos personales que se guarden sobre usted. Como no guardamos datos personales más allá de registros de servidor de corta duración, en general no hay nada que exportar ni borrar. Aun así, si cree que tenemos algo suyo, escríbanos y lo comprobaremos.
Cambios
Si esta política cambia de forma que afecte a lo que se recoge, actualizaremos la fecha de arriba y describiremos el cambio aquí, en vez de sustituir el texto en silencio.
